Discography: Sober Materials: Sober Materials #1 "12 Psychedelic Industrial Beats by Holzkopf" is a collection of 12 dance floor ready heavy tracks from live concert recordings and sold out releases on Wintage Records and Tapes, Little Fury Things and nOnCapable Recordings. Sorry folks, this one is sold out.
Sober Materials #2 "not by power" was recorded late night at Les Pixels Transversaux, a studio in an old ceramics building on the outskirts of Paris. The last track is a bonus improvised set from a concert at Madame Claude in Berlin. All music was recorded live to minidisc. There are no edits and no overdubs. If you want an idea of how it sounds, check this video.
Sober Materials #3 "foreign heroin" is a mash-up of al queada propaganda videos, travel shots and synesthetic blasts of colour and samples of flutes, big band and broken machines. This release is on a regionless DVD.
Sober Materials #4 is decievingly straightforward and harsh as fuck digital punk. It was recorded and mixed in one intense 3 day period and features some sick as shit guitar work by Slow Beef. Sober Materials #5 is mastered for maximum fatness by Josh Stevenson at Otic Sound. If you have been attending holzkopf dance parties for the past couple of years, this will be the most familiar set of tracks for you. It was recorded live, in one take, with minimal edits. It sounds pretty much like a current holzkopf live show.
