Raymond Ayala known to many as Daddy Yankee. He is a pioneer in the world of Reggaeton. The first Reggaeton artist to achieve platinum status, to earn a nomination for an MTV Video Music Award and to stage an international arena tour.

On June 5, 2007, Daddy Yankee released his new album El Cartel: The Big Boss with features appearances from Hector El Father, Akon, Fergie, Will.i.am and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.

In 2006, Daddy Yankee introduced his own clothing line, named DY.
He also hosts "Daddy Yankee On Fuego" a syndicated radio show from ABC Radio Networks.
He created the "Fundacion Corazon Guerrero" charitable organization in Puerto Rico, which works with young incarcerated people.
