My children receive free or reduced meals, does he/she have to go through a separate line and only get certain food items?

Free and reduced students use the same lines and have the same food options for their meals.  However, they do need to get a state-regulated meal (also known as a reimburseable meal) to qualify for free or reduced priced meal.  Ala carte items such as beverages (i.e.bottled water, large milk), desserts, snack items, extra entree, etc. are not included in the meal and all students must pay cash or use their debit account to make these purchases.

What qualifies for a state-regulated lunch?

A school lunch must offer a minimum of five (5) components.  These components are meat/meat alternate, 8oz of fluid milk, vegetable, fruit and bread/grain.

We operate under the Offer vs Serve Meal Service which allows students to decline a certain number of food items in the meal.  A student may elect not to take up to two (2) items offered at the time of service.

What qualifies for a state-regulated breakfast?

A school breakfast must offer a minimum of four (4) components consisted of meat/meat alternate, 8oz fluid milk, fruit or vegetable and bread/grain.  Students may elect to take only three (3) of the four (4) components.

How do I apply for Free or Reduced Meals?

The Family Free and Reduced Meal Application makes applying for free and reduced meals easy and confidential.  Go to the Quick Links-Free and Reduced Meals, click for more information.

Can I write one check to pay for all my children's meals?
