Benjamin Walker '12 has a poem entitled "Jim Thorpe Field Day" forthcoming in Weave Magazine's December issue. His poem "Mountaintop Removal" will also be published in the inaugural issue of the literary journal burntdistrict, while his poem "Pay No Attention to That Land Behind the Curtain" is forthcoming in the October '11 issue of PANK magazine. Two poems, "I-81 South, After Thanksgiving" and "Man From the Broken Hills" were recently published by Blast Furnace Press. His poems "On Malaise and Recovery" and "Doors Closing Under Washington, 2007" appeared in the inaugural issue of Dirtflask, while A Clean, Well Lighted Place recently accepted his poem "A Gnostic Bedtime Story" for publication. "8 Confessions Before the Occupation" was published by Orange Quarterly in February 2012. His poems "Being Forgotten", "Star City, Late Night Radio," "The Tent City Curls Inward," and "Cold Was the Ground" were featured on SOFTBLOW (softblow.org) in April 2012, and "The Werther Effect," "I Now Declare This to be an Unlawful Assembly" and "A Dissenter Breaks Protocol" were published by OccuPoetry in April 2012. His poem "The Summer Georgia Killed Troy Davis" is forthcoming this summer in Mobius: The Journal of Social Change, and "The Dear Leader's Quarantine" is forthcoming this summer in Prick of the Spindle. |
