Also if you are local...and want to donate but can't ride...you can stop by Old Bell High that morning and we will have donation booths set up beside the parking area.

Date: Saturday, May 31st

Time: Ride leaves at 10:00 AM. Riders need to be unloaded and ready by this time, not arriving.

Parking/Meeting Place: We will park and leave from Old Bell County High School, which is on Hwy 119, a few miles south of Pineville. Below is a map to the event parking.

 Notes:

  • This ride is a donation ride for the children of Sean Purisfull, a Bell County Deputy who was tragically killed in the line of duty in early 2008. 100% of all money donated will go to his children.
  • Donations can be of any amount, there is no minium to give for this ride.
  • The only weather that will postpone this ride will be thunderstorms that are expected to go all day. If it is storming early in the morning, we will wait til the weather breaks and then leave. If thunderstorms are in the forecast all day on Saturday and we cannot ride due to safety, we will have the ride the next day, 10:00AM at the same location. However it will take continuous severe weather on Saturday to cause us to postpone the ride.
  • Main event parking will be @ Old Bell High (marked in above map). If overflow parking is needed, it will be at the Page Elementary School which is a few miles up Hwy 119. Our members will be directing traffic to the Page Elementary School if needed. There will be signs along Hwy 25E and Hwy 119 directing traffic to event parking.
  • As far as lodging, there is a link on our main page that will give the contact info and maps of area hotels. Just click the link on the left that says "Nearby Lodging".  
  • Donation tables will be set up at the parking event. If you are unable to ride but still would like to donate to this cause, stop by the parking lot where we will have donation stations and staff members taking up donations.
  • If you would like to mail in a donation please stay tuned to this page and we will have an address to send the money to very soon.
  • The Bell County Sheriff Dept. will be giving the group of riders a police escort up Highway 119 just a few miles to the entrance to the future Wildnerss Trail Off-Road Park (aka Mountain Drive), where the ride will take place.
  • We will split the ride into 2 groups. One for an easy ride and one for a bit more challenging ride. Even the challenging ride will not be challenging by a lot of people's standards. We are still developing a lot of the more technical and extreme trails on the park. The main purpose of the ride is to raise some money for a great cause, and you will see some amazing scenery as well.   • Both rides will be approximately 40-45 miles. If you need to bring extra gas, please do so.
  • We may have some people selling food at the parking lot before the ride but this is not confirmed yet, so please bring a lunch as we will stop and eat.
