About Me
Hello everyone. My name is Stephen Lottermoser. I have been recently called as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been assigned to labor in the Sapporo, Japan mission, where I will live for two years serving the Japanese people. My mission covers the entire island of Hokkaido, shown on the right, of which Sapporo is the capital. I report to the MTC (Missionary Training Center) on April 23rd, where I will become better prepared to share the Gospel and will learn the Japanese language. I will remain in the MTC for about 11 weeks, and then I will arrive in Japan on approximately July 8th. While I am there I will not have access to a computer except to e-mail immediate family once a week, so this site will either go offline or remain the way it is for two years.
However, while I'm on my mission I can write letters to people (the good old-fashioned kind with pen and paper) so please give me your addresses so I can write you a letter and tell you how I'm doing! Enter your address and e-mail (I might have my family forward weekly letters to people... we'll see) below and I promise I'll write you at least one letter while I'm away. Thanks! I'll miss you all!

You know, you don't have to wait for me to write you. Write me first! That's a sure way to get a quick letter back. Missionaries love getting mail. Being away from everything they've know and love is hard, and a letter can litterally brighten their entire month. I'm not saying this from experience obviously, but I've had many friends and former missionaries tell me so. Just write me and tell me how you're doing, what's new and exciting in your life, and send me some words of encouragement. I'll need it at one point or another, I know I will, so please write. There are only two things better than getting a letter that I can think of right now: baptizing someone and getting a package.
