Shedd Aquarium Build

Hoaglandscape Participates in new Pond Construction

Hoaglandscape recently returned from Chicago where it joined other Certified Aquascape Contractors in building a beautiful pondless waterfall outside the world famous Shedd Aquarium.  The build was part of Aquascape's annual "Pondemonium," a four-day event that includes educational classes in helping contractors retain their certified status and allowing them an opportunity to learn about technological advances in the water gardening industry.

The one-day build included more than 125 contractors throughout the United States.  The 50-plus-foot feature includes a 1,500 gallon sustainable reservoir included several cascading waterfalls and an aquatic planting bed.
The goal of the feature is to help visitors learn about native habitats and the importance of working with the environment.

Several classes were held over the next two days of the event and it all began with a keynote address from Aquascape CEO Greg Wittstock. Classes were designed to allow contractors about effective ways to grow their business.

A pond tour of several wondrous water features constructed by the Aquascape team around the Chicago area concluded the festivities.
