 We specialize in raising quality black and white Shetland ponies that excel in all disciplines; breeding, showing, driving and riding. We are the home of many of the great names in the Shetland industry. Including our two former standout herd sires Winks Jericho and HP Jericho's Peaceable Prince.
We started our Shetland breeding program 28 years ago with the purchase of Wink's Jericho from the Bill Winkleman farm. This stud was the foundation of our breeding program for many years. In addition we have purchase many Winks and Showdeo bred mares since that time, and our bloodlines are strongly influence with this breeding. All of our ponies are or can be Foundation Certified.
Hitching Post Ponies is located in Volga, South Dakota. We always have a few ponies for sale and are expecting a great crop of foals this year. Please feel free to stop by, call or email if you have any questions.
