Proposal submission deadline for the Atlanta meeting is only a month away

posted Feb 3, 2010 4:00 PM by Nathan Rein

Just a quick reminder -- all proposals for the 2009 meeting must be submitted online, using the AAR's proposal submission system (called OP3, available here), by March 1. Both AAR members and non-members are welcome to submit proposals. If you are not an AAR member, however, you will need to create a free account on the site in order to make your submission. Also, if you are a non-member and your proposal is accepted, you should know that the Academy requires all Annual Meeting participants to join the AAR in order to appear on the program.

Post-Annual Meeting update

Hello. Everyone's been back from Montréal for two weeks now; some of us have had to take off immediately for the SBL, and others in the U.S. have been celebrating Thanksgiving. What follows is a quick update, sent to all the subscribers of HISTOC-L, the AAR-HCS email list.

Greetings on behalf of the executive ...

Montréal 2009: some changes to the published calendar

posted Nov 6, 2009 10:03 AM by Nathan Rein

Greetings. There have been a few last-minute changes to the AAR-HCS calendar.

  • First, unfortunately, session A8-256 ("Historicity and Storytelling," originally scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m., has been cancelled.
  • Second: Connie Furey will not be chairing session A7-107, on Webb Keane's Christian Moderns, scheduled for Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Nathan Rein will substitute as chair.
  • Finally: Arnold Oh's paper has been withdrawn from session A10-105 on Tuesday morning.

Additionally: a new website has been created for our section, which can be found by going to http://aar-hcs.org (if you are reading this online, you've already found the site). And last but not least, we have created a Twitter feed for occasional announcements.

Thanks for your interest, and see you in Montréal!
