                              In the Mouse we TRUST.

Some believe that the world is headed towards complete destruction. Many believe that the world will end due to a catastrophic event or natural disaster. Others believe that the people of the land will fall under the complete control of an authoritative power. What if I explained that we are already under a control? What if the people found out that their freedom was actually enslaved by one of the largest companies in the world? What if we found out that this company was cleverly owned and operated under the cute, childlike image of a Mouse?

The Disney theme parks operate under the false presentation that the alternate realities created are complete utopias. It is because this presentataion a false reality which can be considered the most damaging kind of control imaginable. Philip K. Dick once wrote: “if you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words. George Orwell made this clear in his novel 1984. But another way to control the minds of people is to control their perception.” To Dick this control of realities is the most powerful kind of control one can be under.

Upon getting with in distance of a Disney Park one is able to see how much power they really have. Disney Parks own the skies above them and are one of the only places to have a no-fly-zone. Even our California power plants and government buildings do not have this kind of power; the power to control the air. It sounds far fetched but it is very true. Disney has a sub division of police, along with their own jails. The entire park is under the watchful eyes of those who enforce the rules. There is no trash, no graffiti, serious crimes and even deaths.

During the course of studying Dystopia there has been interaction with several dystopian films and novels as well has a handful of philosophers and social critics who responded to this subject in various ways. Each one of these ideas are in fact found within Disneyland itself. Disney has with in its creation and control the android, Hegemony, Ideology, Mondernism and Plutocracy. Disney has influence in everything from education to the future. Ultimately Disney controls every thing we know as reality both inside and outside the park.

One person's Utopia is another's Dystopia
