The History in the Making conference is organized by the Concordia
University Graduate History Students' Association and is the longest
running graduate student history conference in Canada. It was first
held in 1995. Since that time it has annually attracted Master's and
PhD students from across North America, who come together to share
their research with their fellow students in a collegial and supportive
atmosphere. The conference also includes keynote lectures by leading
academics and other important figures in their fields. Over the years, the conference has addressed topics such as public history, nationalism and national identity, gender and modernity, genocide, Irish nationalism, and sacred and secular systems of belief. With the generous support of Concordia University and the Montreal community we hope to keep History in the Making alive and well for many years to come. |
