Nancy picked up over 100 heirloom apple trees from FEDCO this week, and an amazing crew of volunteers (including our special partners Club Chameleon) is coming to help plant them all day Saturday, May 2nd.  A special shout-out to the 1772 Foundation, based in Connecticut, for funding our Project FAAHM (Facilitating Access to the Agricultural Heritage of Maine).  This apple orchard, along with a section of pear trees and blueberry bushes to be planted on Saturday as well, will enhance our ability to engage youth in learning about our ongoing human connection to the land for generations to come.
