Child Care Experience

 
 
 April 1997:           Mother to wonderful daughter, now 14 years old.  Lots of                                experience as well as research and reading on child rearing.

 

February 2002:    Prelicensing Training for Child Care Providers classes

 

February 2002:    Universal Precautions class

 

March 2002:        CPR and First Aid training class

 

March 2002:        Medical Administrations class

 

May 2002:           Child Care License approved

 

July 2002:            Started doing daycare part-time for Mom’s Day Out.

 

August 2002:       Began full-time daycare for one baby, age 9 months.  Enrolled a second baby, age 7 months, in September, for part-time care, and a third baby, age 4 months for part-time care.  Regular license allows a maximum of 2 babies under the age of 2 years.

 

August 2002:       Began online class (45 hours), Infant & Toddler Theory & Practice through Front Range Community College.  Plan to get specialized Infant and Toddler Child Care License after finishing class and another home inspection. 

 

December 2002:  Completed Infant class, received A grade.  Passed another home inspection.  Infant/Toddler Daycare License granted.                              

 

Infant/Toddler Child Care License allows a maximum of 4 children under the age of 3 years (36 months).

 

2002- Present:     CPR renewed yearly, First Aid, Medical Administration and Universal Precautions renewed every 3 years.  Continuing education is 15 hours every year.
