Countries - PowerPoint (4th Grade)

For many this was their first time using PowerPoint! Students used notes that they had assembled in their regular class to create pages on the food, clothing and tourist attractions of their country.

Animals - Word (4th Grade)

For their first Word project, students began by researching and writing a report on a specific animals in Ms. Weinberg's class. They then copied their notes into word, added images that they found online, and learned how to format a document including titles, subtitles, correct punctuation and spelling.

Animals Slideshow - Photoshop (4th Grade)

Students learned how to create a slideshow based on the previous Animals project, including creating titles, pans and zooms, and adding in music (you may have seen these during the Art Show) - Click Here to See


Computer History - Word (5th Grade)

What did the first computer look like? How did it work? What is the future? Students broke into groups to research these burning questions online and then to create reports in Word, learning along the way how to properly set up and format a report in Word.

States - Brochure (5th Grade)

This project involved researching numerous aspects of their chosen state: History, Industry, Demographics, Tourism, etc. and placing the information on a 6-page brochure. In addition, the students created maps of their state in Photoshop.

Programming - Storytelling Alice (6th and 7th Grade)

Storytelling Alice is a unique program which allows students to learn how to program by creating animated stories.

Genetic Disorders - Google Sites (6th and 7th Grade)

In this project students learned how to conduct online research using multiple types of search engines. Their topic: genetic disorders. This was a joint project with their science class. Students wrote their reports using a wiki.

Collage - Photoshop (6th and 7th Grade)

After learning the in's and out's of Photoshop, students created collages on subjects of their choice with one criteria: it had to express an opinion. In so doing, students began to learn how to communicate using images instead of words.

Doodle4Google - Photoshop (6th and 7th Grade)

Students entered a competition to resdesign Google's homepage (the lucky winner receives $15,000)!

Collage - Photoshop (8th Grade)

The students created collages by cutting and pasting images of great works of art into Photoshop, then using tools to cut them, draw on them, and otherwise manipulate them.


Technology Review (8th Grade)

Working in different programs including Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop Slideshows and Blogs,  students took on one new and evolving technology and wrote about what it is, how it's changing, and it's impact on society.
