The Planets - PowerPoint (4th Grade)

What is the gravity on Mars? How long is a year on Jupiter? Working in teams, students used online resources to research 10 facts about their planet, recorded their findings in PowerPoint, and practiced their math skills in the process.



The Elements - Msoft Publisher (4th Grade)

After learning how to conduct online research, students created a 3-page brochure on an element of their choice, including such topics as physical properties, history, occurrence and the biological role of their element.






My Favorite Things - PowerPoint (5th Grade)

Each student created a Powerpoint document that tells us something about him or herself. Each page has a theme: one of the student's favorite things. Students used text, clip art, images that they downloaded off of the web, background colors and even animations  - Click Here to see the result!


HTML / Web Design (5th Grade)

Do you want to learn about zebras? How about Manga comics, or kittens? Students created their first web pages by hard-coding HTML in Notepad - Click Here to see the result!



Video - MovieMaker (5th Grade)

Pollution

For this project students were instructed to learn, on their own, a program that they hadn't worked with before. Several chose video - mixing video that they shot with images and overlaying it with music.


Online Atlas - HTML/Web Design
(7th Grade)

Students researched a country of their choosing, then created multi-page web sites by hard-coding HTML in Notepad. Students used more complicated HTML structures such as Tables. Click Here to see it!
