 2010+ --- Far Journeys

I've had a lot of fun with this site, and will keep it up for an archive.  See my Far Journeys board for further gaming adventures for now!

 12/30/09 --- LOTRO Group

Well, erm, OK, Aion is gone, but LOTRO is back in fashion!  A weekly 6-person group is playing its way through Middle Earth.  Good fun with good friends.

 10/20/09 --- Aion

Aion is keeping me busy- and I'm having fun there.  Within its limitations it is a good game so far.  I'll probably be here a while!

 7/29/09 --- Game-hopping

I'm currently checking out games in a haphazard fashion- LOTRO, Runes of Magic, WoW.  Well, I'm waiting for a new game, actually...and I've decided that waiting for 'the perfect game' is futile.  A reasonable world with good long-term features and prospects will have me settle in to find or build a community, even if it is a small one.  Game-hopping is unfulfilling.  Good memories from past games involve community; that isn't a coincidence.  Time to go back to basics.

3/14/09 --- EQ2 Again

Having tried EQ2 but briefly back in 2006, returning has been fun.  The game has changed since release; 4 expansion packs have added lots of content.

1/3/09 --- The Pleasures of a Lifetime Subscription

Yes, I'm talking about LOTRO, the game I like to play here and there.  Check out LOTRO Journal to see why.

 12/14/08 --- Back to WoW

WAR, despite me being there with a good guild, isn't clicking for me, for various reasons.  I'm back in WoW and enjoying the polished experience and smooth play for now.

9/19/08 --- WAR is Here!

Playing on Order, Tor Elyr with Crai Aisling.  Having fun!

8/14/08  ---  Warhammer & Crai Aisling

OK, AoC fell through for me.  The good news- Crai Aisling guild is getting back together in WAR!  These are a great bunch of guys and gals I played with in Horizons and DAoC.  Good times!

5/20/08  ---  Age of Conan Releases

Overall, despite some last-minute delays Funcom's release of Conan was solid.  Check out the AOC Journal for details!

          5/4/08  ---  Hit 50 in LOTRO

It took a while, but I was taking my time enjoying the sites.  I didn't play for weeks at a time too- leveling in LOTRO is quite easy and one doesn't get a big grind feeling at all.

Check out the LOTRO Journal for more info!

          11/16/07  --- LOTRO Revisited

Am back in Middle Earth, taking my time and enjoying the sites!

          10/20/07 --- GuildCafe

Have created a Morreion page on the gamer social networking site GuildCafe.  Lots of nifty features there.  A great way to stay in touch with gaming friends!

9/6/07 --- NDA lifted- am in Tabula Rasa beta.

The short and sweet- nice looking, good performance, cool fast-moving FPS action...the MMO side is somewhat weak; little social interaction; I miss Garriott's special touch that was evident in UO.  Worth a try but I worry about the longevity of the playing experience.

9/1/07 --- In a beta with an NDA

...I can say nothing!  :-p

        7/18/07 --- New PC

A Dell XPS 410.  Always like getting a new PC- here's the specs:

Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6600 @2.4GHz
2 GB DD2 RAM @800 mhz
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768 MB
19" Hanns G Widescreen LCD plug and play monitor

 Clan Fixer on a mission

6/23/07 --- Back to AO fiddling around occasionally because it's free and has some good memories; waiting for other games to release.  Sound familiar?

Vanguard...I like it but the poor implementation and release has made it seem too much like Horizons.  LOTRO just didn't hold my interest despite a good job recreating Middle Earth- the rest of the game was too run-of-the-mill, and that maddening game of 'musical groups' where no one grouped for more than one quest...ahh well.

5/8/07 --- Checking out LOTRO now :p  Didn't expect a lot but it is good.

2/1/07 --- Vanguard:Saga of Heroes has released- it needs some work but it has a lot of potential.  I'm volunteering over at the Vanguard Vault as Community News Editor- that keeps be busy, along with playing.  My columns can be found here.  I've also collected a Vanguard useful information links post about the game over at Vanguard RPG and am keeping it updated, hope it helps.  Went from idle to busy just like that, you know how it is.  Back to the game!  :-)

  Cotswold village in Albion, DAoC

6/4/06 --- It's been a while since I've put any serious time into a MMORPG- WoW was my last, but interest waned there after hitting 60 last autumn.  Only one new game of note has released since WoW (holiday season 2004)- DDO, which I haven't played- so it's been a long dry spell.  Dabbled in some old games, but that's been about it.
