Who Are We? The Hiawatha FFA Alumni Association is a very active group of former FFA members, parents of current FFA members, and advocates of the FFA program, agriculture education, and the agriculture industry. Collectively we provide assistance, guidance and support to the Hiawatha FFA Chapter and its members.
HIAWATHA FFA ALUMNI receives "GOLD"
Hiawatha FFA Alumni is presented the GOLD certificate for National Outstanding Affiliate at the 2008 National FFA Alumni Convention in Indianopolis, IN. Only four FFA alumni affiliates out of 1,250 total affiliates in the nation received this honor. This is the highest ranking an affiliate can recieve.

Reactivated in April 2003, the Hiawatha FFA Alumni has thirty-seven (37) members and continues to grow in membership each year.
Some of our ongoing programs include:

Host the annual FFA Alumni speech contest, host the annual FFA Alumni chili feed, assist with FFA concessions, serve meals for FFA judging events, chaperone FFA members to FFA contests, leadership events, and conventions, provide classroom guest lecturers, select chapter officers, sponsor awards at the annual FFA banquet, assist with FFA chapter functions, host the annual summer potluck and family fun event, host the annual FFA/Alumni bowling party, and host the Hiawatha FFA Alumni Flea Market in Fairview, KS.

Our FFA Alumni financial endeavors include awarding two (2) annual $300 college scholarships to graduating seniors who will pursue a career in agriculture. Sponsor the proficiency awards for the annual FFA banquet. Donate door prizes for the annual FFA banquet. Provide cash awards at the annual FFA Alumni speech contest. Pay 50% of the FFA dues for all freshman FFA members, provide polo shirts for the FFA Officer team, and purchase items for the chapter and the Ag Ed. building.

We are an award-winning program; since 2004, we have received the FFA Alumni Golden Service Award (2004, 05, 06, 07, 08), Kansas FFA Alumni National Representative Award (2004, 05, 06, 07, 08), Kansas FFA Alumni Member of the Year (2005, 07, 08), Century Award (2006), National FFA Alumni Gold Affiliate Award (2008), National FFA Alumni Silver Affiliate Award (2009), National FFA Alumni Bronze Affiliate Award ( 2005, 06, 07) and the National FFA Alumni Achievement Award (2006). -
