Faces of Homelessness Speakers' Bureau
Tuesday, November 8th at 7:00pm in Buchner Hall at Goucher College
Several Baltimore City residents will speak about their personal experiences with homelessness and their struggle to survive and overcome desperate circumstances. The event is intended to both educate and motivate audience members to get involved in local movements to minimize the impact and reach of homelessness and poverty. Through these honest and powerful conversations the Speakers' Bureau hopes to spread the message that homelessness is not an inevitable part of American society and that ordinary people can take steps to end homelessness in their communities.
Fast and Day of Awareness
Friday, November 18th from dawn to dusk
Goucher students will be engaging in a fast to show their commitment to combating hunger and homelessness in our communities. We encourage others to join us and spread the word among their friends about the Sleep-Out the following day. |
