Dear HFS Parents and Supporters:

Six years ago, a few parents formed a small committee to address a financial need at our school. Realizing our tuition did not cover the actual cost of educating each student, an annual gift program called Legacy of Learning was born. Today, this program has raised over $450,000 and our students are reaping the benefits of every tax-deductible dollar. As a result of your generosity and commitments, we have a school within a church providing one of the best educational experiences in our area.

The goal of Holy Family School is to be as inclusive and affordable as possible for all families. While fundraisers from Parent Guild, Scrip and financial support from the parish do contribute to the operational budget, Legacy of Learning donations are essential in bridging the gap of the funds needed without cutting important programs and resources that are currently offered.

Thanks to Legacy of Learning, we have funds to pay for a nursing staff. Thanks to Legacy of Learning, tuition raises have been kept to a minimum. Thanks to Legacy of Learning, we are not charged extra for enrichment opportunities and field trips. Thanks to Legacy of Learning, our 8th Grader’s trip to Catalina Marine Institute and graduation expenses are covered. Thanks to Legacy of Learning, after-school sports, including equipment, uniforms, coaches, and referees are provided. Thanks to Legacy of Learning, we have improved the academic and spiritual environment with a goal of offering the finest parochial education possible.

 Our 2009-2010 campaign kicks off October 13th and concludes on “Pledge Day”, November 10th. Please consider making Legacy of Learning a priority. Our goal is to have 100% of our 179 Holy Family School families participate. All gifts, at whatever level of giving is right for your financial circumstances, are appreciated and contribute to the children's enrichment. Through good stewardship of this precious resource, we renew our commitment to Holy Family School and our children.
