This is the state of Dasein in the present, the focus of Being at this moment in time. To begin with, and currently in lower order animals, the Now is simply a product of the senses. In the absence of a Potentiality-for-Being, a mind does not have any conception of its possibilities in the future; consequently the Now is not even recognised for what it is and such a being has no conception of time. In the presence of a Potentiality-for-Being that has been Anticipated from the Now then its own temporality is established, the two Interpretive products (Now & PfB) defining each other ad infinitum. In this respect, within Dasein, the Now is as dependent on the Potentiality-for-Being to define itself in this higher concept as the Potentiality-for-Being is dependent on the Now as an origin.
