The purpose of this site is to describe a model for synthetic intelligence such that a sentient being may be created using existing technology. This model is based to a large extent on the book, "Being and Time" by the Philosopher, Martin Heidegger. A familiarity with this book would be helpful, but by no means necessary, to understand what follows. At all times I have tried to explain the concepts in the simplest possible way. The nature of the subject dictates, however, that many uncommon words and phrases be used, because the subject at hand is itself not common and to some extent abstract.
Please read, and reread, definitions as necessary to fully grasp the meaning in your own mind at each stage. In many cases, knowledge of the whole helps with understanding of the part; always attempt to understand a thing within its proper context. "A note on the writing" contains additional information and guidance that should be helpful approaching this site for the first time.
