Library rules Walk quietly, read silently, and talk softly Library procedures Enter the library quietly. Grades K-6 return books and go to their assigned seats. Check-in procedures As you enter the library, always place books in the return slot in front of the checkout desk. Check-out procedures Faculty/staff: There is a one month limit on the length of time a resource may be checked out. There is no limit on the number of items checked out. The library is open to staff at any time. If the librarian is gone use a master key to open the door. Please leave a note at the circulation desk with your name and the bar code numbers of the items you removed. Students: Books are due back within two weeks of checking them out. Books may be renewed once. A second renewal may be allowed as long as there is not a waiting list for the book. Overdue materials Students who have overdue materials may not check out other materials until the overdue materials are returned Lost books If a book has not been returned by the end of the year it will be considered lost.All lost books must be paid in full. The cost for each book is the cost of replacement, which includes a processing fee of $2.00. The money will be returned if the book is eventually found. Damaged Books Students will be charged for the replacement of damaged books.Open check-out/unscheduled visits The library is open for materials check –out during library hours. Students
may also come into the library to read quietly,
or to do research A hall pass from the classroom teacher is required in order to come to the library.
