I was so happy when I got an invite to drive down to Anaheim, California for the Heritage Makers annual Reunion with two amazing Heritage Makers gals, Amy Chandler and Pam Hanks. We had a blast (as you can see by our pictures below). I had never met either of them before, but came home with two new best friends. It was fun talking as we traveled to and from, they taught me so much.
Of course I had no idea what I was in for, attending my first Heritage Makers Reunion. I was soooooo impressed with the location, ease of access to the meeting rooms, how good the speakers were and how friendly everyone was. The Cinderella Ball where all the awards were give was awesome. I loved Cinderella for a night and the three of us had such a good time! The on stage presentation about Oprah endorsing Heritage Makers gave me goose bumps. The buildup was to big that I actually thought she was going to step out on the stage. Her statement "Every Story deserves a Book Of It's Own".
It was inspiring to see and hear from Doug Cloward, the president of our company. It was a miracle he could even attend. He has been fighting cancer since last April and in the first stages, was told that he could only have a few days to live! After very challenging chemotherapy sessions, infections and bouts of pneumonia and sickness, his body was not responding the way doctors had hoped it would. With his strong faith, fasting and prayers from family, friends and everyone with Heritage Makers, , the doctors found his blood count start to go up and he was able to be there. He said “Heritage Makers allows everyone to Define, Develop and Celebrate Who they are!” Candy, who made the little book about her grandfather which started this company, presented Doug Cloward with the original book. Wendy McGee, the highest ranking director and my upline, presented each of her kids their very own storybook. The climax of the trip to reunion was that everyone from Heritage Makers went to Disneyland together. Here I am waiting for the bus in front of our hotel with the founder of Heritage Makers, and the sweetest lady you will ever know, Sharon Murdock. We had a lot of fun at Disneyland that night, but we all said how much we missed our family and the kids.
