I am so proud to be the heritage Maker in my family. I am a heritage maker because I have a desire to leave a legacy for my children and their children. My great, great grandfather died while coming across Wyoming on a wagon train, trying to reach Utah so his family could have a better life. I have very little written stories about my ancestors so I want my clildren to carry on what I do know.
43 years ago my oldest son was killed in a farm accident at the age of 2 1/2. For many years I stressed over the fact that I had only about a dozen pictures of him and they were not very good quality. I was always going to get them scanned to a disk and put in a safety depost box. Then I learned about Heritage Makers and the digital scrapbooking albums they provide for us. I have now been able to tell my story about a cute little boy and the joy he brought to our family.
