Old teaching:

I will be teaching a 3 hour course on Mathematical Techniques of Ancient Astronomy. This is an introductory course intended for a general public. August 6, 14h00, at Astrofesta 2011, Observatório Astronómico de Lisboa.

I am teaching a course on ancient mathematical astronomy: «Ler o Almagesto e o De revolutionibus. Técnicas Matemática da Astronomia Antiga». Five sessions: Fridays at 16h00, at the Faculty of Science (March 12, 19, 26; April 16, 23 -- room 8.2.17). Entrance is free, but note that this will be rather technical.

I will be teaching  a 15-hour «Curso Livre» on the Galileo Affair (O Caso Galileu: Os factos, os documentos, a polémica) at the Museum of Science in Coimbra. April, 22, 24, 28, 29, 30. Check out the site of this course (in Portuguese).
