Henrico Senior Slow Pitch Softball(HSSPS)

Eastablished 1988

Mission statement is TO HAVE FUN

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia  Fun is the enjoyment of pleasure and an absolutely primary category of life, familiar to everybody at a glance right down to the animal level." Fun may be encountered in many human activities during work, social functions, recreation and play, and even seemingly mundane activities of daily living. Fun may often have little to no logical basis, and opinions on whether or not an activity is fun may differ. The distinction between enjoyment and fun is difficult to articulate but real, fun being a more spontaneous, playful, or active event

HSSPS provides an opportunity for men 50 years of age or over and women 40 years of age and over to play competitive slow pitch softball in a friendly and safe environment.

How to know if we are rained out
The county hot line number is 501-5132 which is in your player booklet at the begining of the schedule.
The county will update this information by 3pm each day. Listen carefully to the date.
If the hot line says the fields are open, then the next decision will most likely be made at the field at game time by league officials.

THERE IS SOME INTEREST IN FORMING A SENIOR LADIES this SPRING. WE HAVE MEN'S LEAGUE SO WHY NOT LADIES ONLY?   LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE ABOUT 30 TEAMS TO GET SOME TEAMS TOGETHER. WHEN WE FORMED MEN'S LEAGUES IT BROUGHT IN MANY PLAYERS WHO DID NOT WANT TO PLAY CO-ED. I FEEL WE CAN GET A LOT OF MEDIA COVERAGE LETTING THESE LADIES KNOW THAT IS A LEAGUE FOR THEM. WE GOT GREAT COVERAGE TELLING SENIOR MEN THERE IS A PLACE FOR THEM. THERE ARE MANY GUYS THAT FOUND OUT THRU NEWS ARTICLES AT THAT TIME  THAT ARE PLAYING TODAY THIS COULD DEVELOPE MORE LADIES FOR ALL OUR LEAGUES.

CONTACT MELINDA WILLIAMS 804-780-6185  OR AT  mawilliams42001@yahoo.com she is trying to put this LEAGUE together she already has her team. WE NEED A COUPLE OF OTHER TEAMS FROM OTHER LEAGUES AND THRU MEDIA NOTIFICATIONS. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE SENIOR PARTICIPATION GROW.
