ENGLISH 8
1. Continue to read along in your War novel.
2. Have your 3 thesis statements ready for Tuesday's class.
LITERATURE 12 1. Remember that there is a largish Romantics Unit test on Tuesday. Do not be away. Be prepared. It's out of 40. I handed out a sheet detailing what's on the test at the beginning of the unit. Review this.
FOR ALL OF YOU: There are four Romantics Unit cheat sheets laid out on the side bookshelves in 301. Come and get these during Break on Monday even though I'm not there. They will help you.
Remember, as well, that Shelley's Ode to the West Wind will be tested but that I have deliberately not covered it in class. This is a sight poem that you are responsible for understanding.
If you were away today (Friday), you missed a fair bit. We piped in the haggis, ate haggis, and examined Robbie Burns' To A Mouse (first generation Romantic poet). We also spent some time on Keats' concept of Negative Capability. This NC concept is on the test along with his Ode to A Nightingale, which we also covered today. If you missed today, come and get the handouts I placed inside the hanging Lit. 12 folder at the side of the room. You're almost done.... PS I do not have emails for Andrew, Freya, Lisa, and Daniel. If you know how to reach them, please forward this important email.
