Today was a great day! The National FISRT Robotics Kick-Off Event took place at 9:00 A.M. today!  We all know what to do next: WORK, LEARN, and ENJOY this great opportunity we're given by FIRST and the NASA/SEMAA Program here at TSU.

After watching the event, we had our team picture taken - I  should say  pictures - then we headed off for a small break to get some energy and talk our first impressions for the competition ahead. Brainstorming and developing the ideas we came up with we had a group discussion to begin bulding our robot. As for the marketing division, we resolved to collect ideas and information for next Saturday to put them up to a vote. That includes the logo, the team colors, and the goodies we will give out at the competition.

The ball is rolling!!! Actually, the team is rolling!!! The marketing team met today in order to brainstorm and decide the team logo, the team colors, and the robot's name by taking several polls. The results for the team colors came out to be black and blue. The team logo will be Nashville-related and the robot's name is HAVOC.  Although, I think Nashinator was more unique ;). Yay TEAM 1890!!!

The marketing team met today and came up with a lot of ideas regarding the goodies to give out at the competition. The t-shirt logos are not ready yet, but we plan to make a final decision soon, so we can start ordering them. Taylor provided us with GREAT ideas for the girls and customs we can create for the day of the competition. Meanwhile, Casey created a nice logo pic that pretty much tells what the logo on our t-shirt may end up looking like. Thank Mrs. Gigi for all her dedication and enthusiasm in our team. This is phenomenal!!!

The logos we have come up with are wonderful!!! Casey's idea looked very elaborate since the picture of the lightening on top of the Nashville skyline created a mood of destruction and power like HAVOC. We also worked on a logo for the car magnets we plan to use on our vans the day of the departure. GO TEAM 1890!!! The rest of the promotional items we will use are almost decided over. We plan to make a lot of sound!!! xD

The team logo is ready to go!!! It looks very destructive as the name of our robot -Havoc- suggests. The car magnets look fantastic as well, bringing a cheerful vibe to our team's trip! Thanks to Mr. Jeff Hazelton for helping us with the creative design!

Many thanks to Mrs. Gigi for all the coordination with our team's order-of-business tasks that we have and still need to be accomplished until the great day!

I am very dissapointed with the fact that I was not able to attend to the last robotics session today. I got sick a couple days ago and my parents decided it would be better if I stayed home today, rather that going out in the snow -it snowed today. Well, the robot is almost done. As for the Marketing team we're on track to have a successful coordination of things thank to Mrs. Gigi. Thanks to all of you who made this possible in the Marketing team: Taylor, Casey, Mrs. Gigi and Mrs. Kay, too!

Peace & Love,

Nao!
