Race Status (updated 1-25-10)Our first race of 2010 was great! We had 26 racers, including 6 racers in the under 12 category.
We are planning two more winter events on February 14th, and March 14th, 2010. Come on out on Valentine's Day and Race! The snow is looking good.

Race fees: 18 & Over = $20 (includes $10 USBA insurance fee)
Under 18 = $10 (includes $10 USBA insurance fee)

Registration & Zero: 09:00 am-9:55 am
Men's start @ 10:00 am
Women's start @ 10:05 am
Kids' start @ 11:00 am
Where: Beaver Creek Ski Area Biathlon Range.
What: Cross Country Skiing Biathlon, format and distances TBD.
Safety Clinic is required for anyone who has not completed a LBC/USBA safety clinic. *** If you plan on attending the safety clinic, please send me an email (xc_ski@hotmail.com) so we know how many participants to expect*** We have great news for the novice racers! Thanks to a generous grant from the Friends of the NRA, we were able to buy 4 brand new biathlon rifles, including one left-handed model. The grant included air rifles and air rifle targets for children ages 8-15 to use!!!
As always, beginners are encouraged to participate in the races. Racers under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver.
LBC provides ammunition and shooting accessories for race participants. Membership To shoot at Beaver Creek Ski Area on days other than races, we ask that you become a member of the Lander Biathlon Club to keep track of who is shooting, and help with race and club development. Our HistoryIn 2006 a group of enthusiatic folks created a new biathlon venue at Beaver Creek Ski Trails near Lander, Wyoming with the support of many organizations, including the NRA, the Lander Valley Sportman's Association, a local Boyscout Troop, and Triple L Construction. We held our first summer biathlon event July 2006 with a fantastic turnout of 25 racers! The targets and warming hut were purchased with grant money from Friends of the NRA. In January 2009, we received another Friends of the NRA grant to purchase new rifles, pellet guns, and pellet targets. We couldn't do this without their generous support! For SaleNone right now.
