Mission Statement
It is the goal of the Hebrian Society to foster a better understanding about the beliefs, customs, and folkways of people who exhibit superficial differences, but share in our common humanity. The Society, through humor, fellowship, good food, and sensitivity and support of others works to further the ideas of universality of all people.

The Hebrian Society took part in over two dozen functions. The group celebrated various cultural traditions through food, music and activities, attended six lectures on diversity, two Hall of Fame Banquets, and the spring musical. It honored Peter Stolzman as “Person of the Year “ and made donations to the Branford food shelter and the “Lemonade Gang.”
By-Laws
(Created October 5, 2007)
1.All members must be current or former BHS employees. The invitation for membership extends to the spouses of members.
2. Dues are ten dollars a year. An additional five dollars will include a spouse.
3. There will be a monthly meeting on the first Friday of each month.
4. Each year two members of the society will serve as Co-Presidents. One of these two must be either Italian or Jewish.
5. Each year the society will honor an individual as the “Hebrian Person of the Year.”

Did You Know:
*John Albinger-is a certified high school and collegiate football official. John’s father won multiple championships as the Head Hockey coach at Norte Dame High School in the 1980’s.
*Mickey Fazzino’s -father fought for the Italian army during World War Two. He was a POW in an English prison. Now he is in his mid nineties living in Branford.
*Kevin McDonough-is in a band named “Now and Then.” Kevin trains out of Ring One Boxing Gym located on Congress Avenue in New Haven and he plays on an “over sixty” softball team.
*Tom Murray-was a legendary high school basketball coach. While coaching the Hornets, Tom won nine Housatonic League Championships. He finished with a career record of 320-115.
*Maura Sullivan-finished her Sixth Year Degree in Educational Leadership this past summer.
Salvatore Zarra is Teacher Of The Year For The Branford School District
Rich Biondi is a Two Time Coach Of The Year and is a member of the Branford Sports Hall Of Fame.

The hiker on the far left is Jerry Munck who helped form the society on September 25, 2007.
Membership Drive
We are looking for new members. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please ask them to join our group. The Hebrian Society is a support group for other staff members. We also practice diversity and function as a social outlet.
