 The sea is very safe and shallow, never getting deeper than 7m and always very warm. Always calm  making it ideal for families. There are many different types of water sports, from scuba diving, water skiing to wind surfing. Some of these sports have their own international schools nearby.  For those who like the rugged coastlines and waves, the Mediterranean sea is just a 5-10 minute drive away.  Or you could take a Ferry trip to the many dramatic islands of the Mar Menor.

 The apartment complex is based in the authentic Spanish town of Playa Honda (deep beach). There are a couple of bars and Spanish restaurants within a short walk and also a well stocked supermarket. A short drive away are more international restaurants and a larger supermarket.

 Don't forget the local authentic Spanish markets that sell anything from food to amazing jewellery and clothes.

 The Calblanque Nature Park is very nearby offering remote white sandy beaches and a short drive or cycle away is the lovely Marina and fishing port of Cabo de Palos, with fantastic beaches, bays and inlets. Known locally for it's great fish restaurants using freshly caught produce. With one of the prettiest quays, this marina town has a famous 19 century lighthouse perched on top the cliffs. From here you can see the whole of La Manga. 

The apartment is situated on a popular complex which features indoor/outdoor communal pools, children's pool as well as a sauna, spa, gym and play area for children. Sleeping 6, there is a double bed, 2 singles and a double sofa bed. Underground secure parking is available at the complex. The apartment has it's own private balcony with views towards the sea and the La Manga strip but for an even more expansive view, it has access to a shared roof terrace.

For those wanting the culture and history, Cartagena and Murcia offer this in abundance. There is a Roman amphitheatre at Cartagena.The shopping at these cities is pretty good too!!

Golf is in abundance including the world famous La Manga golf resort, with its championship courses. Besides the famous La Manga golf and spa complex, there are many other golf courses in the area.

The nearest airport is Murcia but Alicante airport is about one hours drive away. Both airports have cheap low cost airlines using them. There are good rail and bus links in the area too.
