Seaweed Workshops

I have long been fascinated by seaweed, (marine macro-algae), and while an undergraduate at the University of Hawaii I researched and wrote a book about Hawaii's edible seaweeds.  (The Limu Eater). Seaweeds as food and art have remained a life long passion,  There is a studio class in printing seaweeds, as the pressed specimens, although beautiful, are not lightfast and can fade upon exposure to sun.  Seaweeds can be printed into existing gyotaku to create an underwater scene.  In this new class you will use existing  pressed specimens to create stunning archival seaweed prints.   I have no seaweed workshops scheduled at this time
