European Balayage Hair Coloring - "Hand-Painted Highlights"

LET ME HELP YOU FIND THE "ME" YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE!

Welcome the Future ...

Welcome to Balayage!

Balayage is simply the next evolution in hair color.  Derived from the French word balayage, meaning "to sweep", the technique involves hand-painting of the hair with color or lightener to produce an incredibly individual result.

The process in extremely versatile and can be combined with traditional American techniques, such as foiling or single process color, for a combination that has come to be known as "American tailoring". There literally is no limit as to what can be achieved through balayage. The possibilities are endless.

The technique can produce results from delicate and blended to bold and dramatic.  What will be noticed immediately is the elimination of foil "lines".

This means NO MORE STRIPES!

Balayage produces soft hints of lightness or depth (darkness) that look more natural and undoubtedly beautiful.  Not like you had your hair "foiled", but more like you have been at the beach for a month, or for brunettes, like you really do have "naturally" highlighted hair.

If a more edgy or progressive result is desired,  this is where placement comes into play.  Your colorist will work directly with the shape of your face, as well as the structure of your haircut, to accentuate and dramatize the key elements and features that comprise your look and style.

In addition to creating incredible richness in tone of color, the results are shiny and seamless.  By eliminating foil, the vision of the colorist can come to true fruition and the hair color can be designed for each individual client.  The color is painted directly to the scalp to achieve long-lasting results, easily translated into less maintenance and fewer trips to the salon.

 Balayage

vs. Foil Highlights

The difference between foil highlights and Balayage Highlights is this:  if you weave a strand of hair and put it in a foil with the lightener, you are going to have the same amount of lightened hair throughout the strand.

This means if someone wants to have a lot of blonde towards the ends, you are going to have a lot of blonde toward the roots. If the hair ends are thinner, we end up with more lightened hair at the roots.  Balayage highlights are different.

Balayage highlighting is a technique in which you can actually use the balayage lightener to paint the balayage highlights in.  This allows you to paint less lightened hair at the roots and more lightened hair toward the ends.

That's what gives you a European style of hair color that is darker at the roots and gradually more lightened toward the ends.
