*Do you avoid groups or loud restaurants? *Do you think your spouse mumbles all the time? *Are you having a hard time hearing your grandkids? *Do you have to blast the tv or use subtitles? *Do you have to yell or be yelled at? *Do you avoid going to the movies? *Do you have to sit in a special place in order to favor your good ear? *Do you feel stressed all the time trying to read lips? "There’s something special about Montana and something extra-special about the people who live here. Once you’ve experienced it, you’re never the same. If you’re from here, you know what I’m talking about. There’s a part of you that always longs for “home.” My name is Collin Andersen, and my wife, Kari (Fjeld), is a Bozeman native. We met 17 years ago in my hometown of Portland, Oregon and though I had never been to Montana in my whole life, within a few months of being married we were here on our first visit. We continued coming back to visit the rest of the Fjeld family and eventually decided to make a permanent move to the Gallatin Valley. My role as the hearing specialist at the Hearing Aid Institute in Bozeman began a little over a year ago. During that time, I have traveled up and down the beautiful valleys, serving the people of SW Montana. As someone who was born with hearing loss, a hearing aid user myself, and someone who loves people, it has been a perfect fit. I am happy to be here and excited about all that Montana has to offer my family. My wife is thrilled to be “home” and our three children who are 13, 11, and 9 years old are growing up in the Last Best Place on Earth surrounded by loving family and some of the finest people I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet."
