Affiliation

Being one of the few chartered health psychologists locally from the British Psychological Society and HPC registered practitioner psychologist from the U.K., he has been promoting the development of health psychology and health counselling through professional psychological practices and research, training health and social care professionals, and community consultations for more than 15 years. In his professional networks, Dr. Tang also served as Council Member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society, and a certified supervisor of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association.
 
He has served in a number of academic and research institutions, including the Centre on Behavioral Health, Breakthrough Organization and a number of tertiary schools of continuing education. He has been pioneering holistic models of development for both adolescents and adults, with psychological practices specialize in resilience-building and spiritual empowerment along the direction of Body-Mind-Spirit integration. 
 
He continues to acquire professional development in different areas of Health Psychology. These include academic teaching of young people and adult learners in health and social care settings. He was among the pioneer teaching teams of behavioural sciences for nursing and medical schools, the first cohort of postgraduate dietician course, the first local professional diploma of health counselling and psychology, the first professional certificate in family education and the first largest-scaled community level Life and Death Education in Hong Kong called the  ENABLE Project. He also play consultative advisory role on a pioneering DateWellMatch service, which has a prime call for gender development and Matching Consultancy to the church and wider community settings.
