Dear visitor, Showing Dogs: In the Beginning...... My first show dog was Rose, a beautiful white Standard Poodle bred by Yvonne Smith and John Stanton (Kateisha Kennel in New Zealand). Rose arrived at 3 months old in August 2005 and together we learn't together how to not only how to look after a show coat (including trimming), but also the art of handling a show dog. Rose became an Australian Champion in June 2006 and has won many Class in Groups and Class in Show awards. I was given an opportunity in 2007 to title a stunning black girl Tyra (Aust & NZ Ch. Kateisha Stars in Her Eyes), owned and bred by Kateisha Kennel (Yvonne Smith and John Stanton). Tyra is a sweet girl with heaps of attitude! The Next Stage (Breeding)... In May 2007 we were delighted to breed Rose (Aust Ch First Love) to Richmond (Aust Grand Ch Voila Canadian Club AI - owned and bred by Lance Wright) and had 9 beautiful puppies. Out of this litter we kept Bowie (Aust Ch Am Ch Ch Obsessn Lust for Life) a white male and Minx (Aust Ch Obsessn The Temptress) a black girl. Both Bowie and Minx reflect their parents' outstanding temperaments, movement and elegance and are wonderful dogs to live with. The Dog Grooming Business: It had always been my ambition to develop a dog grooming business that would offer personal care and attention for all breeds. I trained under the UK Government's City & Guilds programme. We commenced operations in 2001, located in Canberra. Today our business, named "Heather's Dog Grooming", is well and truly established. It is equipped with professional facilities to cater comfortably for all dog sizes comfortably and we organise our schedules so as to avoid stress for different breeds. We're always interested in dog care and advice. We hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards, |
