Saturday February 4th, HCPSM in coordination with Music & Arts,
sponsored our 2nd annual ECHO instrument donation event. We are
thrilled to report that we had a tremendous turnout and collected 14
Violins including many in the 1/4 and 1/2 sizes which are greatly
needed by our Elementary Schools, 4 Trombones, 3 Violas and 3 Flutes.
We also collected a Cello, French Horn, Coronet, Conga drums and a Bell
Kit. We had a great time seeing all of our terrific students and their parents at the Solo and Ensemble event and wish to send a terrific THANK YOU out to those who donated. We will try to post some pictures of these donated instruments in their new homes, thanks again Howard County Parents! Howard County Parents for School Music presents the “ECHO Project” (Every Child Has Opportunities in Music)
Do you have a formerly loved musical instrument that needs a new home?
If so, the ECHO Project is just the place to donate your used instrument. The instruments should be in good playable condition. If MINOR repairs are needed, they must be addressed prior to donation.
All instruments will be used to help out students who could not otherwise afford an instrument of their own. Music is a gift from the heart, so open your heart today and donate your unused instrument to the ECHO Project. By donating an instrument, you give it a second life, something like a musical echo…
Our first donation drive was at Mt Hebron High School during the Solo and Ensemble Festival. Many thanks to Music and Arts Centers for helping out with evaluations and tax receipts.
