We
are looking for volunteer parents who want to help in supporting school
music programs by getting involved in HCPSM. We plan on meeting during
the 2011-2012 school year from 7 - 8:30 on the following dates at the
Wilde Lake Middle School Cafeteria, except as noted below.

April 10 - first day back from Spring Break

If
you would like to be involved, but might need to miss a meeting here or
there, that's okay. Schools may also have more than one
representative. The
primary focus in the past has been to create a network of parents who
are ready, willing and able to keep music as a VITAL part of our
children's curriculum. Our most visible presence has been in the annual
nomination of the Howard County Music Educator of the Year. However,
as budgets continue to tighten at the Federal, State and County level,
it is as imperative as ever that we stay willing to advocate for our
children's musical lives. |
