PRIVATE LESSON INSTRUCTOR CONTACT INFORMATION (FOR THOSE ALREADY ENROLLED FOR LESSONS)

The Grand Ledge Music Boosters Association is once again sponsoring private instrumental music lessons.  Private lessons will help the student to acquire the necessary skills for full enjoyment of music through their instrument.  Each individual instrument has its own characteristic problems and each student approaches these problems differently.  Private lessons will help the student to eliminate these problems and allow them to progress at their own speed and level. Please note that this is not a money making project, nor is it a requirement for participation in the instrumental program at Grand Ledge.

Note:  the Grand Ledge Music Boosters will reimburse parents of private
lesson students $5.00 per lesson as long as monies are available, and when
the student is prepared for the lesson.  Reimbursement is available for up
to three consecutive school years for students in grades 6 through 12.
Reimbursement forms are available through the student’s band director.

If you are interested in having your student participate in this program, please fill out the form below and return it to your child’s band director.  You will be notified when to begin as soon as we have scheduled a session with an instructor.  Please contact your band director if further information is needed.  Even if you are currently taking private lessons through this program, you must complete a new form for this school year.

The following policy has been adopted by the Grand Ledge Music Boosters Association for missed lessons:

Excused Lessons: An excused lesson is any lesson that is called in to the student's private teacher (please make every attempt to call the teacher) at least 24 hours before the student's lesson. Absences called in within the 24-hour period prior to a lesson will only be termed excused if it is an emergency as decided by the teacher and/or coordinator. An excused lesson will be charged one-half the regular fee and is to be paid at the following lesson.  Excused lessons will not be made up nor will lessons be given when the instructor is unable to attend.

Unexcused Lessons: An unexcused lesson is one where there has not been a call within 24 hours prior to the lesson or where any no-show results. The entire lesson fee will be charged as a result of an unexcused lesson and is to be paid at the following lesson. Two unexcused absences may result in the student being dropped from the program.

There will be no lessons given on snow days or full vacation days. Half days will be lessons as usual.

Please note: the private music lesson instructors are not employees of Grand Ledge Public Schools and thus, Grand Ledge public Schools assumes no responsibility for their conduct.

    Thank you for your interest.
