WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SHARED ABOUT MY SERMONS----
I think it was the best Easter Sunday service I’ve ever attended, and that’s a lot of ‘em too. The Children’s sermon was truly inspired, and I liked that many of the little ones got a whack at the star. I keep thinking that every morning is Easter morning this week; what a super concept!--Helen at Oakton UMC
Thank you, Don. This morning was wonderful. I really enjoyed your additions and attitude - and the sermon was inspiring to me. I am still smiling.--Carol at Oakton UMC
Yesterday's Sunday sermon: It was a fresh sermon as well as a confirming one. A phrase that you used caught my attention. It was "indestructable joy". I find myself often praying for joy, but never "indestructable" joy. That seems to me to connote a joy that is never chastened by the circumstances of life. I like the thought--Willi at Oakton UMC
"Thank you for your sermon today....I thought that you did a meaningful job of anchoring the sermon in the scripture...I appreciate your thought too that the sadness stems not only from his death, but from the betrayal of Jesus' friends and followers...You are leading us well." --Bruce Long, COM Chairperson, OUMC
Jane and I wanted you to know how meaningfully we took yesterday's sermon. She remarked several times about how deeply she took your words...thank you for your wonderful work --John and Jane, Oakton UMC
The messages you are giving is what we want to hear and move forward on. --Helen, Oakton UMC
"Your Sermons were some of the best I heard while at BUMC... Also, your prayer time is just fantastic. I always liked your outlines. That was a big help to me. Your name is appearing some in my "bible writings" as a commentary on a particular verse, etc" Michael Hill, Bridgewater UMC Member. Visit his web site: http://www.bridgewater.edu/~lhill/index.html
"Your service yesterday was awesome! The older folks who sat in front of us said they really like your style. The one man was nodding his head and said "Amen" when you ended the sermon." Laura Mancari, Bridgewater UMC member
"Thank you so much for your wonderful message yesterday!" Tony, Bridgewater UMC
"Your sermons are so eloquent but also so practical."
