After purchasing the antebellum Landon House Mansion in 1999, Kevin Dolan realized he had a problem: How does one person maintain a 268-year-old 12,000-square-foot estate? He realized he would need to make other people care about the property as much as he did. Today, Dolan shares his passion for history under the guise of Johnny Reb, a character modeled after General J.E.B. Stuart. Audiences now enjoy the Landon House Mansion while watchomg him orchestrate the Sabers and Roses show, which pays homage to the legendary 1862 ball that took place before the Battle of Antietam, before embarking on a tour of the historic mansion and estate.
Originally built in Virginia in 1743 as a silk mill, the mansion played a pivotal role in the war as a base for both Confederate and Union soldiers. Every event aims to educate guests about the history and significance of the estate’s role in the war. The proceeds of Dolan’s creative ventures go toward keeping the historic landmark from falling into disrepair, and his role as the Haunted Landon tour guide landed him on an episode of A&E’s Psychic Kids. Dustin Pari of Ghost Hunters TV Show fame recently undertook a private investigation of this very haunted Confederate Mansion after hearing about it from his manager.

You wanted it, you got it....Landon House returns in true this year with an all-new, all terrifying journey into the paranormal world with our new show HAUNTED DEAD OR ALIVE. Every Friday and Saturday night in October will see the return of infamous host Johnny Reb from 1862 as he attempts to reign supreme against a paranormal attack from all sides and all dimensions.
The slimy Mayor Cockey and his psychic sidekick The New York Rebel attempt to stand guard against vampires and zombies wandering around the six-acre Landon House Mansion and Estate. Will it be to no avail as the 666 forces of development threaten the very existence of Landon House with their bulldozers and power towers? WidowWoman is there to scare the bejezuz out of evildoing builders! For the past 12 years the mighty Johnny Reb has preserved this haunted Civil War waystation...but the prevailing tide of development carnage may prove too much even for him!
Johnny Reb watches silently as paranormal forces beyond his control wreak havoc on his carefully-planned spiritual defenses. He has waited patiently lo these many years from the time when he visited the Landon House in his living years as a soldier riding with the legendary J.E.B. Stuart at the Sabers and Roses Ball hosted at Landon on September 8, 1862..immediately before what remains the bloodiest single day in American history...the Battle of Antietam...with over 23,000 dead, wounded or missing in less than 7 hours....Johnny Rebs says it best: "It ain't over...it's just the longest cease fire in history!"

BASIC SHOW INFO: Every Friday and Saturday in October. Doors open at 8pm. $15 adults; $10 kids under 12. Cash only. Exact bills are appreciated so we don't have to make change. If you're bringing a hundred dollar bill or a fifty you should be buying multiple tickets. Local ATMs available.
