The SIT (Servant in Training) program at Hastings Lake gives youth the opportunity to serve God while also enjoying His creation at camp. In essence, SITs are similar to an aide; helping leaders perform their duties, and making the camping experience the best it can possibly be for the campers. While SITs are responsible to at least one leader, SITs are a part of the running and daily routine of the camp, and are used in many of the aspects of camp. SITs are often put into positions of leadership and as such, SITs will be asked to perform many different tasks and must be willing to serve when called upon. People who have served as SITs are generally given more consideration for Summer Ministry Team positions in the future.
