About Us

Joe and I met through our friends Steve and Kirsten Junior year of high school and have been together ever since! We decided to have our wedding down the Cape because we spend most of our summer there at my family's house in Harwich and it has special meaning to us.

Engagement Story

Chatham Bars Inn the night we got engaged

Joe and I the night we got engaged

This is the best picture I have . . . we all know how hard it is to get a good picture of the ring!

We got engaged December 8, 2006 at Chatham Bars Inn. We were down for the Christmas Stroll and we were on our way to diner at our favorite place. Joe took a detour and headed into the Chatham Bars Inn entry and I started to have an out of body experience. CBI was decorated for Christmas and it was absolutely beautiful! We called our families and headed to dinner at the Impudent Oyster. My parents already knew of course because Joe asked their permission and they took the ring down for him. We had a great weekend celebrating with family during the Christmas Stroll and drank the Champagne from my cousins wedding which.

Wedding Details

Our ceremony is being being held at Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich. We had a hard time finding a church down the Cape because we weren't members of the parish but lucked out because we are town residents even though we're no year rounders.

Wychmere Harbor from the overlook

Our reception is going to be at Wychmere Harbor Club in Harwichport. Joe and I knew this was the place before we were engaged. We're also going to do our pictures at this spot so you can see the club in the background.

We're arriving at our ceremony by sailboat which we're pretty excited about. It's a 20 minute sail from one harbor to the one our reception location is on so it will give us some time to relax a bit. We'll also get some great pictures!!!

 Getting the Dresses

Everyone ready to go!

The Dress

Coren Moore

On to the guys . . .

Joe all the groomsmen and the ring bearer will be wearing the Vineyard Vines Classic Sail tie in light blue. We're leaning towards white shirts.

My Dad will be wearing the Vineyard Vines Cape tie in light blue. We went with light blue because it compliments my Mom's dress.

Joe's Dad will be wearing the Vineyard Vines Buoys tie in light green.

All the guys including the Dads are wearing navy blazers and khaki pants. We're currently working on getting these at the moment.

On to me . . .

I haven't decided if I'm posting my dress yet . . . I have a nosy fiance on my hands : )

The broach I ordered from White Aisle

The pearl earring I am wearing that were a college graduation gift from Joe

My shoes that I will wear for the ceremony complete with foot petals. They are Grace and the style is Lindsey, I got them at Shoes to Dye For.

I got these slippers to wear on the sail boat and for our reception. The second picture was the best close up I could get but I had our wedding date embroidered on them.

My garter was a gift from my cousins grandmother. It's her tradition to give it to the bride.

Our Waterford toasting flutes for the reception were a gift from my Godmother. She got them straight from Ireland.
