WEBPAGE BUILDING

Want to create a webpage like this for your class?  It's easy!  Set up a g-mail account at Google.com using your LAUSD username.  Then go to http://sites.google.com/site/ to build web pages by using easy templates. It's free and you can add links, gadgets, and link to Google videos.  Also go to Google for Educator's homepage at http://www.google.com/educators/index.html

SOFTWARE

Interesting in showing demonstration videos to students.  There's free software called Miro at www.getmiro.com that allows you to search and download videos that can be used to demonstrate concepts in subjects such as science or social studies.  One benefit of the software is that it helps you download videos for 5 days and then erase them off your computer to free up space.
