The Transportation Technology Academy Online Workshop has been announced. Interested teachers from any Harrison County middle or high school are eligible to apply. The workshop will take place December 1-31, 2010 and will include an overview of STEM education concepts, an introduction to transportation safety and careers, and 21st Century Skills/Tools implementation information. Participants will also participate in weekly online webinars and/or chat sessions with experts from the Transportation Industry. Dates and times of weekly webinars and chat sessions will be announced as soon as dates are confirmed. Participants will utilize the information gathered to develop two STEM related lessons with a focus on transportation concepts and/or transportation related career opportunities.

 

The stipend for the workshop is $300 + a tech tool (valued at approximately $100) and will be paid upon successful completion of the online workshop and expert review and approval of the two newly created lessons.
