Funding for this project is made possible by the US Department of Transportation's Garrett A. Morgan Technology and Transportation Education Program. Garrett A. Morgan (1877-1963), an African-American inventor, was born in Kentucky and lived his adult life in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Morgan's most notable invention was the traffic signal. The GAMTTEP provides funds to help to fill the demand for workers in the transportation industry due to the retirement of the seasoned workforce. For more information on Garrett A.
