We Now Have a Ranch House and Driving Track
HPD is proud to announce the addition of a residential-type structure - located near the entrance to the training grounds; and a driving track - which will be used for vehicle training to include P.I.T. The house has been the venue for HPD In-service and Academy hosted training - many of the skills honed by this facility involve flashlight searching techniques, and hostage/critical incident training. The track has been staked, dug, graveled, graded, and is awaiting a fresh layer of asphalt. Hope to have both ready to play a role in the upcoming SESWAT 18 Competition.

THE RANGE HAS RECEIVED MORE THAN IT'S SHARE OF RAINFALL THIS SEASON. THE BANKS OF THE USUALLY QUIET BLACK'S RUN HAS BEEN TORRENTING OVER ITS BANKS WEEKLY. MULCH, PROPS, SOD, ETC., HAVE BEEN SWEPT AWAY. HOPEFULLY IT WILL GET DRIER AND WE WILL GET THE O-COURSE BACK TO IT'S FORMER INTIMIDATING STATE. |

The excavation on the new rifle range started this week. Much more needs to be done,
including bringing fill dirt in to build up the berm, and re-seeding the field with grass.
Thanks go out to those who contributed time and machinery to bring this range to life
and enhance the training facility's capabilities.
