HPD HOSTS SOUTHEASTERN SWAT 18TH ANNUAL EVENT- AND YOU ARE INVITED!
The Harrisonburg Police Department will be co-hosting SESWAT 18 on June 9-10, 2011 at the HPD Training Facility on Greendale Rd. in Harrisonburg, VA.
As members of the Southeastern SWAT Association, HPD SWAT quickly, and aggressively, raised their hand when the Association considered a venue for their 18th Annual competition. HPD SWAT has been participating in SESWAT competitions in South Carolina since 2005 - and volunteered to incorporate SESWAT's 18th Annual event with HPD's SWAT Competition.
For past participants of the HPD SWAT competition, you will see the same challenging array of skills, teamwork, and gut-checking events you are familiar with - the pistol shootoff, obstacle course, mystery event; and officer rescue. Teams will again face long-gun proficiency and marksmanship events, fast and furious pistol-themed courses of fire, and physical and mental challenges a plenty. And to make our southern cousins feel less homesick, we will offer our unique little spin on SESWAT's Hostage Rescue event.
We are committed to providing you with the same challenging, non-stop action that you have come to expect. We have packed 11 events into two days - because we know you like to keep busy. At the conclusion of the competition, we will have an informal banquet, present prizes and awards, and top it off with closing ceremonies.
TSSI in conjunction with many of our tactical vendors, will be offering product displays and demonstrations.
Oh, the food.. We will have the grills going throughout the mid-day, so again you eat when you have a break in the action. T-shirts and other SWAT Competition merchandise will be available for sale across the creek.
