HSSC Sheltie Rescue

HSSC believes that every sheltie deserves a forever, loving home.  From time to time we have shelties in our rescue program here in the south-central Pennsylvania USA area.  Their photos and information, when available, are shown here (just scroll down for lots of pictures)!  If you would like more information about our rescue shelties or general information about adopting a sheltie, please contact our rescue coordinators listed below.

NOTE:  All prospective adoptive families MUST complete and submit the HSSC Sheltie Rescue Adoption Application Form; the link to this document (PDF) may be found below.  All applicants are subject to the HSSC adoption approval process, and it is understood by all parties that all decisions made by HSSC regarding the appropriateness of an applicant are FINAL and NOT SUBJECT TO APPEAL OR LEGAL RECOURSE in any manner.

It is very important to HSSC that our rescued shelties find their way into stable, loving, and caring FOREVER HOMES!  Shelties, as a breed in general, are very loving, loyal, extremely intelligent, and very sensitive dogs, and require careful and sensitive attention and treatment by their human caretakers!  Your love and care will return amazing amounts of love and happiness from your sheltie to you!

ALL prospective home locations for our rescue shelties require a secure fenced yard (exception to this is possible in certain very special circumstances) and a home living situation that does not put the adopted sheltie in any danger or harm in any way at any time!  Prospective adoptive families are generally expected to provide a loving, kind, nurturing and safe home situation for the dog they adopt for its entire lifetime!  Your adopted sheltie should live, eat, play and sleep in comfortable surroundings which are a part of your own living environment, and your sheltie should become a vital part of your family life.  Keeping your rescue sheltie merely in a kennel run or garage or other such menial location, cut off from family interaction, is definitely NOT a desirable situation.  Small children in families must be properly monitored and carefully instructed in kind, gentle, and appropriate treatment of a rescued sheltie.

Holly Berry a fun-loving sheltie who loves to run and play!  She is housetrained and good with children.  She would make a good agility sheltie.  She is a very sweet girl that loves to be with you.  She is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on her shots.
A fenced in yard is required for Holly Berry.
