COURSE PHILOSOPHY: Biology 1003 provides an introduction to biological terminology, processes and characteristics unique to living organisms. My goal is that each of you will learn enough about biology to allow you to make informed decisions about some of the important issues concerning biology that face society today. I hope that you will complete this course with an appreciation for the incredible diversity and unity of life on earth and be an intelligent consumer of biological resources.
